Nexic Discovery combines ease of use with full professional power - searching for archived email is FAST. Accounts can be archived directly from GroupWise using native Novell programming interfaces. Discovery is the fastest archiving product available for GroupWise, which becomes critical when thousands of messages are archived each day. Discovery features a rich Windows archive client that is very similar to the GroupWise Windows client, as well as a Web Access-like web interface for browser access to the archive. When used with the open source Sphinx Search full-text index, Discovery can search very large archives in a matter of seconds, averaging 6-20 seconds per query.

For high volume archives, Discovery stores records in a SQL database, such as MySQL or Oracle. Messages are not stored outside of the database, consuming external disk space, but stored and indexed within the database, resulting in dramatic storage space savings and search performance increases over other archive products. Unique life-cycle management and migration features allow for virtually unlimited salability for long-term storage. As more exporting needs are identified, like when someone wants to take some of their email with them when they leave, with Discovery you can export messages to a standards-based XML format that can be searched, saved, and printed from the Archive Client. Once exported, there is no dependency on GroupWise.
